Who we are
This website is owned and operated by Neuza Sermain, a sole trader operating under the Portuguese “entreposário individual” regime, Tax ID (NIF) 243313926, based at Rua Afonso de Albuquerque, nº114A, 8100-534 Loulé, Portugal (“Nova Vida”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
What personal data we collect and why
Contact form
When you contact us through the form on our Contact pages, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message, solely to respond to your enquiry. This data is sent directly to our email address (novavidacervejeira@gmail.com) and is not used for any other purpose.
Online shop orders
Our online shop is active. When you place an order, we collect the data needed to fulfil it: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and order details. We do not store payment card data on our own servers; this is processed directly by the payment provider used by the shop.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, for statistical purposes. These technologies are only activated after your explicit consent, given via the consent banner shown on your first visit to the site. IP addresses collected by Google Analytics are anonymised. Map (Google Maps)
Our Contact page includes a map provided by Google. Loading this map is subject to your prior consent, managed through our cookie banner.
Legal basis for processing
- Responding to contact requests: pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest in communicating with you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- Processing orders: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Statistics and Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Compliance with legal obligations, in particular tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep your data
Contact data is kept only for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards, after which it is deleted. Order and invoicing data, where applicable, will be kept for the 10-year period required under Portuguese tax and accounting law. Statistical data collected with your consent is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, currently 14 months.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:
- Our web hosting provider, to operate the website;
- Google (Google Analytics, Google Maps), acting as a processor, for statistical and mapping purposes, subject to your consent;
- Couriers and payment providers, only to process your order;
- Public authorities, where required by law.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (in particular Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or another appropriate safeguard.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to such processing, and to request data portability. You may also withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD), via www.cnpd.pt.
Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.
Minors
This website and the products we sell (alcoholic beverages) are intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the bottom of this page.
