Purpose
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the novavida.pt website and the sale of craft brewery products through our online shop. By placing an order, the customer fully accepts these terms.
Online shop
Our online shop is active and processes orders. These terms apply as soon as the customer places an order.
Products and prices
Products are described and presented as accurately as possible, within the limits of an online presentation. Prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT at the applicable legal rate, unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct any obvious pricing or description errors, informing the customer before processing the order.
Sale of alcoholic beverages — minimum age
Our products contain alcohol and are sold exclusively to adults aged 18 and over, in accordance with Portuguese law. By placing an order, the customer declares and warrants that they are at least 18 years old.
Ordering and payment
Orders are confirmed by email after submission. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
Delivery
Deliveries are made within Portugal. Delivery times and costs are shown before the order is finalised. The risk of loss or damage to products transfers to the customer upon delivery.
Right of withdrawal
Under Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014, consumers have a 14 calendar day period, starting from the date of receipt of the product, to exercise their right of withdrawal, without needing to state a reason. Details of this right, including the conditions for accepting returns (sealed and unopened product, except in the case of a defect) and who bears the return shipping costs, are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.
Complaints — Electronic Complaints Book
Under Lei n.º 144/2015, we maintain an Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico). You can file a complaint at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
In the event of a consumer dispute, the customer may turn to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR/RAL) entity. The ADR entity competent for our geographic area is CIMAAL — Centro de Informação, Mediação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Algarve, Avenida 5 de Outubro, nº 55, R/C Dtº, 8000-075 Faro, consumoalgarve.pt. The full list of ADR entities is also available at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
Note: the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued by the European Commission as of 20 July 2025 and is no longer available for new complaints.
Intellectual property
All content on the novavida.pt website (text, images, logos, brand) is the property of Nova Vida or is used with appropriate authorisation, and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. Reproduction without prior authorisation is prohibited.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, and without prejudice to the consumer’s right to bring proceedings before the court of their own domicile, the competent court is that of the comarca of Faro.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The date of the last update is shown at the bottom of this page.
