FAVA 2026 in Loulé: we’ll be there

FAVA 2026 poster, Loulé

From 18 to 20 September, we’re taking part — as we have for several years now — in FAVA, the Feira do Ambiente e Vegan no Algarve, at the Parque Municipal in Loulé. Free entry, over 100 exhibitors, and around 500 hours of activities on the environment, veganism, and local craftsmanship.

Our stand (no. 22) is in the gardens, behind the Duarte Pacheco monument, halfway down the avenue. We’re bringing two of our regulars, Ginja Bomba and Tia Anica, and likely a third beer. The Tap Room stays open as usual over the three days.

Come say hello.

This weekend: Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica in Tavira

XII Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica 2026, Tavira

The Tap Room will be closed this week: from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 September, we’re taking part in the XII Feira da Dieta Mediterrânica, in Tavira. This annual fair celebrates the Mediterranean diet, recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with local producers, tastings and cultural events across the historic centre of the city. Come find us at our stand, in Jardim do Coreto, along the river.

We’re presenting our Carob Cola for the Prémio Inovação – Dieta Mediterrânica, a regional competition recognising innovative agrifood products and projects from the Algarve, judged on the use of local resources, creativity and contribution to the sector. The public vote also counts toward the result — we’ll add the voting link here as soon as it’s available.

Results announced Sunday 6 September at 6pm, at Jardim do Coreto.

Tap Room reopens Thursday 10 September.

Nova Vida today: seven years on

We opened Nova Vida at the start of 2019, with the simple idea of bringing a human-scale craft beer to Loulé. Seven years on, it feels like a good moment to take stock.

The range has grown: we now count 9 beers in our regular line-up, alongside a fair number of limited and one-off editions we’ve released over the years — always with the urge to experiment with new styles and ingredients.

There’s one part of this journey we’re particularly proud of: the work we’ve done with other brands through gipsy brewing. We’ve already supported the launch of at least five beer brands, helping them take their first steps before they went on to successfully build their own independent path. Watching those projects grow and gain their own footing is one of the most rewarding parts of all this.

Our Tap Room in Loulé is now an established meeting point for anyone who wants to try our beers straight from the tap, in the very space where they’re brewed.

Throughout the year we also show up at craft beer fairs and festivals — a way to step outside the brewery and meet, directly, the people who enjoy what we make.

Seven years on, Nova Vida remains true to the original idea: beer made with care, at a human scale, in Loulé, in the heart of the Algarve.
